About Us
Meet the Doctors
Michael L. Hawks, D.M.D.
Dr. Michael Hawks professes that he has a passion for Dentistry. He loves coming to work each day and using his skills and training to deliver the absolute best results for each procedure on every patient he treats.
Dr. Hawks is a native of Fulton and has practiced dentistry in the twin cities for over 35 years. He has an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1985.
Dr. Hawks embraces being in a small town and being able to practice all facets of general dentistry. He is dedicated to continuing education and has had advanced training in oral and periodontal surgery, endodontics and orthodontics. He is proud to provide these speciality services in his community so patients don’t have to drive out of town for treatment.
Dr. Hawks realizes that many people don’t like going to the dentist. He and his staff go to great lengths to make every patient relaxed, comfortable, and in control. He offers oral conscious sedation to help patients relieve their fears and complete a lot of work in one appointment. Most patients have little or not memory of the treatment.
Dr. Hawks is married to Melanie Gammon Hawks and they have two children, Corbin and Harrison. He enjoyed his time coaching youth league sports, and now spends his time time with family or friends watching sports, at the beach, or playing golf.

Corbin M. Hawks, D.M.D.
Dr. Corbin Hawks is a native of South Fulton, Tennessee.
He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural Biotechnology from the University of Kentucky before graduating from UK’s College of Dentistry in 2017.
He is married to Dr. Chelsey Johnson Hawks, a native of Madisonville, Ky, who currently practices as an optometrist in Mayfield. They have one fur-baby that is treated as their child, a bichon/poodle mix puppy dog named Sailor.
Dr. Corbin enjoys working out, playing golf, hunting, and relaxing at the beach or the lake with friends and family. He is a big fan of the Wildcats football and basketball, Nashville Predators hockey, St. Louis Cardinals; and thanks to a few dental school classmates and his younger brother, Ole Miss baseball.

Diane
Dental Hygienist
Diane has been with Hawks Family Dentistry for over 25 years. One of her favorite things about her job is getting to know her patients and their families. “I am thankful for our wonderful patients and I enjoy being able to help them take care of their smiles. “ Diane also enjoys working with such a fun and motivated staff.
Sandy
Dental Hygienist
Sandy has been practicing dental hygiene for 44 years for Dr. Donald Dowdy and now Drs. Mike and Corbin Hawks. It’s been challenging but very rewarding to learn new dental technologies. “Dentistry has come a long way in my career. I have made lifelong relationships with staff and patients alike. In my free time I enjoy camping, teaching fitness classes and babysitting my grandson.”
Tori
Dental Hygienist
Tori has been with Hawks Family Dentistry since her graduation in 2017. She enjoys meeting and building relationships with people in the community that she was raised in. “I love how much joy my patients bring to me by the services I provide for them. “ Tori embraces learning and growing under Dr. Hawks and the rest of her coworkers.
Janet
Orthodontic Assistant
Janet has been in the dental field for over 36 years, 28 of those years with Dr. Hawks. She has seen many changes in her four decades of dentistry. Working with mostly teenagers in orthodontics, Janet becomes really involved in their lives during treatment. She feels like they are her “kids”. Janet also considers all of the other staff at the office a part of her family. In her free time, she enjoys napping and watching sports.
Brooke P.
Dental Assistant
A South Fulton High School alum, Brooke attended West Kentucky Community and Technical College and joined Hawks Family Dentistry in 2019. “Being a Dental Assistant, I enjoy meeting new people and watching their smile transform into something they love. “ In her free time Brooke enjoys being outdoors and going to the lake with friends and family.
Cherish
Dental Assistant
Cherish is a Registered Dental Assistant at Hawks Family Dentistry with over 16 years of experience. She is a graduate of South Fulton High School. Cherish loves organizing, baking, shopping and spending time with her Chihuahuas. She enjoys her work and seeing her co-workers every day.
Ashley
Dental Assistant
Ashley is from Graves county and graduated Dental Assisting school in 2020. She began work at Hawks Family Dentistry in 2022. Ashley loves Dentistry because she likes to see her patients’ smiles transform into something they love. In Ashley’s free time she likes gardening, beekeeping, reading, and spending time with her family.
Amanda
Dental Assistant
Amanda is from south fulton and graduated from dental assisting school in October of 2019. She has been working at Hawks Family Dentistry since August 2020. Being a dental assistant, she enjoys meeting new people and helping them change their smiles into something they love. Outside of work she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Kathy
Administrative Assistant
Kathy has been a life long resident of Mayfield and has been in the field of Dentistry since 1981. During her career she has worked for Dr MR Reynolds, Dr O Covington and now Dr Michael and Corbin Hawks since 2013. Kathy runs the front desk of the Mayfield office of Hawks Family Dentistry. “Having done this for almost 40 years allows you to come to know your patients well enough to provide an extra level of care.” She has enjoyed developing relationships and watching families grow. While not working, Kathy enjoys being outside and spending time with her husband and her sweet mini schnauzer Sam.
Anita
Administrative Assistant
Anita has been working at the front desk of Hawks Family Dentistry since 2002. She is one of the first team members you will meet when you contact our office. “I really enjoy seeing the confidence restored in our patients’ beautiful smiling faces after their visits. “
Teresa
Administrative Assistant
The newest member of our staff, Teresa graduated from West Kentucky Community and Technical College with a degree in Medical Information Technology. After working in the medical field for six years she began her career with Hawks Family Dentistry in 2020. “I look forward to working with a great staff and meeting our patients. “ In her spare time, Teresa enjoys hanging out with family and friends.
